The Caribbean evening

Congratulations to the staff, parents and pupils that have worked hard to deliver an enjoyable and informative Caribbean evening, in spite of the un Caribbean like weather!

This event as with the MELA demonstrates that Chorlton Park is a community school where your views are valued.

What else would you like to see?

  • Irish evening?
  • After school homework clubs?
  • Community trips?
  • Saturday school?
  • Community sports team?

With the PTA we are committed to meet your needs and will assist you to make things happen. Please let us know how we can make your school even better.

PC Helena Hodgeson the Youth and Community Liason Officer came into school on Friday to talk to pupils about a Children’s Safety Plan.  For film and printable resources please look on www.childseyemedia.com

Summer Fair Help

Desperately needed:

  • Someone to run the tombola stall
  • Face Painters – 1 hours sessions (training given)
  • 1 hour sessions helping on stalls.

The summer fair won’t function without your help.  A big thank-you to all the fantastic helpers who have already volunteered.

Please contact Ros Fox on 881 0945

There will be hampers full of goodies again for the Summer fair Raffle.  If you have any donations, please leave them at the school office from the week beginning 30th June.  Many thanks in advance for your support.

Parking

On Wednesday last week the Nursery went to Knowsley Safari Park.  The trip was a great success but on return to school the coaches were unable to draw up outside school to let the children off because of a car parked outside school on the zig-zag lines.  The driver then refused to move their car despite being asked by several members of staff.  Getting safely on and off the coach on such a busy road is dangerous if the coaches are forced to park away from the gate particularly with such young children at such a busy time of day.   No cars should ever be parked on the zig-zag lines at any time of the day and we would expect our own parents to be more considerate of the whole school community.

Attention: Jars wanted

Taite Cottrill and Faye Barnes are running an In the Jar stall at the summer fair.  They would be extremely grateful if you could bring in a clear jar filled with goodies.  The jar can be any size and filled with sweets, smellies, toys etc.  Please bring jars to the office before 4th July.
