The Manchester Intergenerational Choir

(MIC) is a unique and very special singing group – with members aged 5 – 75. Set up three years ago by the talented Carol Donaldson (who used to run the Manchester Community Choir) the choir is one of the few groups that welcomes people of all ages and backgrounds to sing together.

Originally aimed at Manchester families, the singing group has recently widened its remit to welcome anyone and everyone who wants to sing. With nearly 100 members already, we are keen to expand even further this year – to become a city-wide, nationally known singing group that breaks the mould of traditional choirs.

MIC sings a variety of songs in harmony from around the world. Most are quite straightforward to learn – and require no previous singing or musical experience – but they are a joy to sing for everyone involved.

If you would like to try out the singing group, you are welcome to come to the next session, or call Carol Donaldson on 07530 662981

Venue:The gym underneath the Adult Education Centre at Chorlton Park School, Mauldeth Rd West, Chorlton M21

Date: Sunday November 9th at 4.30 pm. Each session lasts for an hour – and costs £2 for adults and £1 for children.
