Blue Zone
Congratulations to the Year 6 pupils who attended the Blue Zone Study Centre this term. They completed a ten week course after school.
During the ten weeks pupils used a variety of IT skills to design football match tickets, signs for their bedroom door, make and edit an animation as well as using the Internet to develop their Literacy and Numeracy skills. They also toured the City of Manchester Stadium.
To celebrate their achievements an Awards Ceremony was held at the City of Manchester Stadium on Tuesday 9th December with guest Alex Williams presenting awards.
Young Voices
Well done to all the children from Year 4/5/6 who took part in the Young Voices concert at the MEN arena on Tuesday.
Living History Days
Year 5 are having a Victorian Day on Thurs next week. bring a clean handkerchief for the hygiene inspection!
Year 4 are having an Egyptian Day on Tues next week please come dressed for the day.
Friday’s Concert at the Royal Northern College of Music
Chorlton Park pupils stole the show at this Manchester music concert. The Dance Club performed accompanied by the School Balalaika Band and the School Choir Performed to a very high standard. A special thanks to Mrs Haycocks, Mrs Blackburn and Mr Sloan for making this event so outstanding and of course to the children who were great ambassadors for the school.
Asthma Inhalers
Please can you make sure your child has a spare inhaler in school at all times, particularly during the Winter. This week we did a quick check round one year group and found a number of children who did not have an inhaler in school. If your child’s condition has changed and they no longer need an inhaler please let us know.
Winter Fayre
The final count is still not in for this year’s Winter Fayre, but we have raised a significant amount of money and importantly had a really enjoyable Saturday school event.
Lots of children, parents, teachers and friends supported the school both by volunteering their time and making donations but also importantly by turning up to enjoy the event and part with their money. A special thanks must go to Alice Burton who during this busy time of year worked so hard to pull the event together so successfully.
