Healthy schools update Snacks Could we please remind you that we are a Healthy School and playtime snacks should be fruit / vegetables. Fruity Friday takes place each week for KS2 children who can buy a piece of fruit for 20p
Water We encourage the children to bring water into school to drink throughout the day. Please could you make sure that it is plain and not flavoured. Thank you
Birthday treats As a Healthy School we are trying to encourage our children to eat less sugar and are looking at creative ways to celebrate birthdays in school. At the moment, the majority of children bring in sweets to share with the class, and whilst we recognise that a treat is ok sometimes, we are challenging the children, through the school council, to see what other interesting treats that could be brought in that may be a little kinder to their teeth! Some suggestions from the children so far have been, fruit, pencils, rubbers, a small (cheap) game that could be used at wet play or even a class book. Watch this space for more information from the School Council.
Family Learning Saturday 17th October 10a.m – 3.00p.m Activities, sports and crafts for you to do with your children. Watch out for the letter coming home next week.
A new logo for Chorlton Park …. tell us what you think. Four examples of logos are at the school office, on the parent notice board (outside year 5) and on the school website. Please take a minute to have a look and let us have your thoughts.
