PTA News

Hello everyone and a very Happy New Year from the PTA. Just a couple of things to say this week:

Hats for Haiti

The PTA will be contributing to the funds raised by the children today. We’ll keep you posted on how much was raised altogether.

Mela

It’s time again for this very popular event, a celebration of Asian culture with music, food and fashion. We need people to help us organise it this year and preferably those of you with a real understanding of how to create a fantastic Mela evening. So if you can spare a bit of time do get in touch with us via the school office.

After-School Waiting Area

Along with Mr Watson we’ve been looking at finding an indoor space where parents and carers can wait while their other children finish after-school clubs. We’re looking at a couple of options and should have a result very soon, so watch this space. Freezing in the playground should soon be a thing of the past!

Flora Vouchers

It’s that time of year again! Flora are collecting vouchers for their cooking with schools scheme. Last year we raised lots of money and bought some brilliant equipment for Cooking Club. This year we hope to do even better and buy some new equipment for cooking across the school.

If you have any vouchers (Found inside promotional tubs of Flora) please drop them into the school office, pass them onto Miss Etchells or register them yourself on the website www.cookingwithschools.com.

Thank you in advance for all your support let’s hope we can make this the best year yet and get all of Chorlton Park cooking! Search for the school on the website to view our progress.

Whalley Range – Football

The Girls Football played two matches at Whalley Range last night, and although they did not win they did display excellent sportsmanship and made the school extremely proud.

We still have some spaces in the Blogging Club for parents to come and learn how to blog with their children, from 3.30 to 4.00.  No need to book.
